ACN Raises Over $60,000 for Southern California Charity

CHARLOTTE, NC, December 11, 2008 – ACN representatives helped raise more than $60,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California during the Anaheim International Training Event on December 5-7.

During the three-day event, ACN was able to donate $61,736 to the non-profit organization on behalf of the company and its representatives. Volunteers collected contributions from thousands of generous ACN representatives and employees, and ACN matched the contributions dollar-for-dollar.

The charity’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of children. The organization operates four Ronald McDonald Houses in Southern California. They also operate Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times and maintain four scholarship programs for exemplary high school students.

At the event, the charity’s Chief Development Officer, Carol Horvitz, thanked everyone who donated. “We are so lucky to have ACN in our lives,” she said.

In September, ACN choose Ronald McDonald House Charities as its global charity, a decision that recognized the organization's worthwhile mission of providing homes for families of critically ill children who are being treated at Children's Hospitals. The charity was selected because it has chapters globally in 51 countries and benefits children. The decision means ACN will raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities at each of its International Events worldwide.

Over the company's 15-year history, ACN has contributed millions to non-profit organizations worldwide, including those that give to needy children, help victims of domestic violence, support substance abuse rehabilitation, and provide relief after natural disasters.
